25/07/10 - New South Wales Report 09/10
We have just completed a strong season for the class with many
of our clubs enjoying growth in numbers and good strong racing
throughout the season. Our various serious were also reasonable
well attended with around 30 boats competing in all or some of
the heats of our Travellers and Metropolitan Trophies.
It was pleasing to see several new boats launched through the
season. Interestingly this saw quite a diversity of hulls being
built with Tiger and Aero 12’s coming from their respective
manufacturers and a few homebuilt Moondance hulls. All have performed
well on their day. We have also seen experimentation with rig
configurations continue in our fleet and while Peter V won the
National with a now, fairly traditional set up, Rob Fish won the
NSW State Championship with his comparatively radical set up.

07/04/10 - Sunbeam & Zhik 46th NS14 NSW State Titles

Full scratch and Handicap results, as well as several category results can be found here
24/03/10 - Final MT Results
The final heat of this season's MT series was held out of Balmoral Sailing club in a very light easterly breeze. Off the start line, Dark Horse and Time Rocker quickly established a lead on the rest of the fleet... but this resulted in these two boats sailing to the wrong mark and leaving them last and second last! From here Chitty Chitty took the lead ahead of Tigger Too, Hairy Lemon and Matador. The race settled into a rhythm, until a large shift up the last work allowed Hairy Lemon to take the lead and win. Followed by Chitty Chitty, Tigger Too and a very fast finishing Samba Pa Ti.

06/03/10 - Provisional MT Results
We have so far had two heats on the MT series, with the 2nd heat occurring in near perfect conditions last weekend at Connells Point. It was close racing with only 7 minutes covering the entire fleet of 23 boats! Problems struck some competitors with No-Mad jumping the gun, and Drum suffering problems with their jib luff after a nose dive. After the dust had settled Dark Horse had shot out to take the win, with Tigger Too finishing second, followed closely by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The third Heat of the MT's will be sailed out of Balmoral Sailing Club on the 20th of March.

08/02/10 - 09/10 NSW Sprint Series
14 boats turned up to Northbridge for a challenging days racing. The racing began just after 10, with the wind being next to nonexistent. This increased throughout the day; offering pleasant days sail (except maybe for the rain!). The well run day featured 8 short course races, and which due to their nature, offered unpredictable results each race, this showed with different heat winners in the first 4 races!
After the 8 races, Tim and Jon in Dark Horse just pipped Alex and Danielle in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, with David and Amelia in Hairy Lemon just 3 points behind!
