7/8/08 - Membership renewal time!
Time to sign up to support your class for the 2008/09 season. If you haven't already got an email or letter contact your state registrar or treasurer. For NSW members (and those wishing to join) there is a new form under the NSW section on this site. Remember that you have to be a member to get the benefits of membership (eg coaching) and also to enter any association event - so you might as well join earlier as later!

9/11/07 - CST Produce Full Carbon Mast for NS14

CST has developed a brand new carbon mast section for the NS14 and MG14.  The mast is an elliptical profile measuring 80 x 40mm and is manufactured in one piece complete with woven carbon reinforcing at the hounds and base.  When fully rigged the new carbon mast will weigh around 1.5kg less than the current alloy/carbon mast.

The first prototype rig has been stepped in a boat and will be on the water later this week.  Following a short period of development and optimisation they expect masts to be available to the fleet in the very near future. For more information see http://www.cstcomposites.com/MG14_and_NS14.htm

 NS14 Australian Championships 2007/08

Introduction to the NS14
The NS14 is an Australian designed sailing dinghy, intended for competitive family sailing.

It has a simple rig, is light enough to be lifted from a trailer (fully rigged) into the water by 3 persons of average strength, requires only reasonable fitness to sail, and is affordable by the private sailor.
